INTRODUCTION

Our new junior summer competitions will be starting in September. These competitions have been running since summer 2003/2004 and we have grown from 28 teams in our first season to 160 teams last year, and we anticipate at least 180 teams this season.

The competitions are designed to give every child a chance to continue their skills whilst they are in their off season from outdoor. They are conducted in a friendly and social manner for all children playing, and for parents to view.

REGISTRATION

The registration dates are:

Saturday 24 August, from 9.00am to 3.00pm, or
Saturday 31 August, from 9.00am to 3.00pm at the sports centre.

These are the only two dates available for registration so you will need to attend either one of these days.

If you are registering a team, we do not need to see all the players at registration. It will be sufficient for one representative from the team to come down to the centre with all the player details and registration monies.

If you are registering as an individual then you will need to come down to the centre with all your details and registration money.

To register you will need:

Player's Name
Player's Date of Birth (plus proof of age)
Contact Phone Number
$10 registration fee per player

All new players to the centre will be required to have proof of age that will be sighted at registration.
(we do not need to keep a copy on our records)

Proof of age can be in the form of a birth certificate, passport, soccer/netball card or a school card.

COMPETITION DETAILS

The competition starts 4 - 7 September and is played every week on your match day (depending on your age group)at the one venue at the sports centre.

All games will be played within the following time ranges.

U14's - Saturdays 3.00pm to 5.00pm                                                  15's to 17's (Mixed) - Wednesdays 5.00pm to 7.00pm

Soccer (5-a-side)
15's to 17's - Fridays 5.00pm to 7.30pm

(All times are approximate and will depend on the number of teams in each age group and will be subject to change)

Game Fees

Wednesday or Saturday Netball (7-a-side) - $70 per team per week
Friday Soccer (5-a-side) - $63 per team per week
Saturday Soccer (6-a-side) - $70 per team per week

This is to be paid as a team payment and not from individual players.

This can be paid either weekly, or the whole season of 16 weeks can be paid up front at round 1 or 2. Please be aware that this does not include any finals that are played by your team. These fees are to be paid on the day of the semi final.

NB: We accept payments by cash, cheque or EFTPOS.
All EFTPOS transactions will be subject to a 1% transaction fee

Age Groups

Soccer: All ages from U6 to U17

Netball: All ages from U7 to U17

The age group of each team will be determined by the oldest player in the team as at 31 December 2019.

Eg. If you turn 9 years old in 2019; you will play in the 9's
If you turn 9 years old in 2020; you will play in the 8's

Number of Players

Soccer: U6 to U14 => 6-a-side with unlimited interchange
U15 to U17 => 5-a-side with unlimited interchange

Netball: 7-a-side with interchange at halftime

Equipment Required

Soccer: Shin guards are compulsory
Common coloured t-shirt or jersey (shorts and socks can be any colour)

No outdoor soccer boots are to be worn (ie. Joggers/Sneakers/Indoor shoes are to be worn)

Netball: Uniforms are not required (bibs will be supplied by the centre)

All soccer balls, netballs and umpires/referees will be supplied by the centre.

No jewellery will be allowed whilst playing.

Duration of Games and Competition

All games will consist of 2 halves of 13 minutes each. The competition will run for 16 weeks plus 2 weeks of finals.

Training

There is no formal training set for any teams. Teams can hire the courts during the week if needed
(providing availability of courts)

Grading/Draws/Points Tables

All teams will initially be graded as per their age group. The first four weeks of the competition will enable us to regrade your team if necessary.

We will contact your team captain/organiser with the time for your first game by Wednesday 4 September.
Your times will then be advised every week at the sports centre on your match day. (for the first 5 weeks).

Once grading is completed by round 5, draws will be handed out and points tables will be on display on this website.

Conduct Towards Officials and Players

Castle Hill Indoor Sports promotes all competitions to be played in a fun and social manner. Therefore we will not accept any abusive or negative attitudes towards any officials or players that participate in our competitions.

Any incidents from players and/or spectators that do occur will be dealt with by management.
